Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and strong warehouse worker who can also safely and correctly operate a Forklift Operator in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload materials. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. This job requires a person who can lift 50lb boxes.

- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials within the warehouse and distribution center.
- Load and unload products from trucks and containers while ensuring proper handling techniques.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory management.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain organization within the facility.
- Assist in building pallets for shipping and ensure that all loads are secure before transport.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all safety protocols.
- Strategically inventory items based on future shipping requirements
- Act as an expediter - Ensure that the team is promptly processing orders, ensurely timely processing of orders and completing of tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with forklifts..
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Previous experience working under the guidance of a warehouse supervisor is advantageous.
