What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Crew Foreman position at Warminster Municipal Authority?
Warminster Municipal Authority is looking for a foreman experienced in Storm Sewer, Sanitary, and Watermain installation. This is a working foreman position, candidate must be willing to operate equipment and perform manual labor along with crew when necessary in order to meet timely completion of projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must have 5 years’ experience in water, sanitary, and storm drainage installation. Previous experience as foreman preferred.
Must have an excellent work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
Coordinates with Pa-1 call system to ensure all excavation tickets are current and updates tickets as needed.
Experience with pressure and vacuum testing methods as well as disinfection protocols for water main installation.
Advanced knowledge of utility construction industry, such as site layout, site grading, excavation, above ground/underground utilities, and storm water drainage structures.
Understand and implement construction documents such as drawings, specifications.
Prioritize tasks and provide concise instructions and appropriate feedback throughout the progress of construction to completion.
Proficient skills with transit, survey equipment, lasers, and capable of calculating pipe slopes for stormwater and sanitary sewer projects.
Coordinate inspections with appropriate authorities.
Communicate at all levels of the organization to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Meet project goals within deadline and budget.
Understand and implement construction schedules.
Enforce safety standards on site at all times.
Manage most efficient use of equipment and company assets.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
OSHA 30 Certification within first year of employment.
Education:
High School diploma or GED certificate.
License:
Possession of an appropriate, valid Driver's License at the time of appointment, to be maintained as a condition of continued employment. Ability to obtain a CDL Class A Driver’s License within twelve (12) months from date of employment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Maintain the following physical abilities: see well enough to read, write and make observations, operate hand and power tools, vehicles and heavy equipment; hear well enough to converse on the radio, telephone and in person; bodily mobility to walk, bend, stand, crouch or climb for extended periods of time, operate assigned equipment and vehicles and perform heavy manual labor for extended periods; ability to tolerate extreme fluctuations in temperature while performing essential functions and be able to lift and handle heavy equipment.
