What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Specialist I- Onsite IA position at WARNER PACIFIC INSURANCE?
Full Time Position – 8:00am to 5:00pm
Urbandale, IA- Onsite
Summary
Responsible for entering applications in Agency Bloc, checking applications, cancellations, bank changes and any other additional requests we have pending in the dashboard under Agency Bloc. Support the L1 Individual Account Managers so they can better help agents.
Job details include:
- Build new or update existing client’s policy info in Agency Bloc. This will consist of entering client information from either a paper application, online application, or faxed application.
- Enter email confirmation or fax confirmations into Agency Bloc
- Track application status- go out to the different Carrier websites or call carriers and track the status of the application and to update the Agent and Agency Bloc.
- Update Agent and Agency Bloc -after tracking the status of the application, we email the Agent, to let them know they have been enrolled in whatever plan they have applied for, attach copy of application and ID card if available and Summary of Benefits, and then we update Agency Bloc and close out any Activity we had open for this Client.
- Back up receptionist – will cover phones up front for our FT receptionist.
- Build policies for commissions team when the commissions come in and don’t match up with an existing policy in Agency Bloc.
- Update carriers forms on the GBL agent portal; this consists of going out to the carrier’s sites and downloading the form and saving this to the “R” drive and the GBL agent portal.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent to.
- Background knowledge in Health Insurance is preferred, but not required.
- Full-time hours required with the additional hours as necessary.
- Customer service experience required.
- High-level of attention to detail with strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Compensation
- Hourly Range: $20.00-$20.00 per hour
- Actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
