- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate basic business-related skills.
- Computer literate with various Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Access.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to effectively work within timeline/deadlines.
- Ability to perform duties requiring strictest confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with other personnel/departments.
- Must have strong analytical ability and demonstrated experience in analysis of data using various software applications, including databases, spreadsheets (Pivot Tables), etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Student Management Software (ProgressBook).
- Specific knowledge and experience with EMIS and State reporting requirements.
ADDITIONAL PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree in Computer Programming/Data Base Management.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:
- Prepare and produce custom reports as requested by various administrators and departments.
- Assist in validation of data necessary to correct errors and support the EMIS system by using various computer reports.
- Efficiently analyze and anticipate data reporting needs for State data submissions.
- Review all data files and reports released from the State.
- Monitor student data to ensure accuracy and compliance with State guidelines.
- Maintain and monitor student grading and testing records insuring accurate points for graduation.
- Review CTE classes for correct coding to ensure they are funded.
- Comprehend and apply data reporting rules for EMIS reporting.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and analyze data reporting errors.
- Communicate student and staff reporting requirements to district administrators and other personnel responsible for collecting and entering data.
- Communicate with other Districts to correct EMIS coding errors that affect our data.
- Review course codes in all buildings to ensure they are coded correctly to comply with teacher certification.
- Generate specific reports as requested by other departments.
- Cross-train in all facets of the department including EMIS and state reporting.
- Assist the Manager of Information Systems with the documentation of EMIS updates to be sent to various buildings and departments affected by the changes.
- Update and monitor the State Standard ID system for assignment of SSID for various EMIS reporting periods. This is done on a daily or weekly basis as needed.
- Assist the Manager of Information Systems with the monitoring of staff, student, testing, discipline, and course reporting.
- Provide help-desk assistance to users in the understanding of computer generated reports and student management software.
- Attend trainings as necessary to support the District in entering EMIS data.
- Provide clerical assistance within the department as required.
- Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren City School District Board of Education.
- Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Associate Superintendent, Manager of Information Systems, and/or designated supervisor.
