Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
- Current valid teaching license
- Appropriate knowledge of various educational technologies, including software applications and hardware used to deliver technology-enhanced instruction
- Appropriate knowledge and understanding of the interdisciplinary principles of STEM Education
- Successful experience in leadership capacity within assigned building or district
- Evidence of sound professional judgement, good attendance and a consistently positive attitude toward students, families and colleagues
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, word and email correspondence
Preferred:
- Teaching certifications and/or endorsements in the areas of instructional technology and computer science
- Appropriate knowledge of Ohio’s Learning Standards for Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Computer Science
- Ability to identify and resolve technology related issues and errors with computer hardware, software, instructional applications and user accounts
Duties:
- Work under the direction of Campus Leaders, Supervisor of Technology, and the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction
- Design and implement engaging, standards-based STEM lessons and activities for students in grades PK-12
- Deliver interactive, hands-on instruction in the mobile learning lab environment using emerging technologies such as robotics, coding platforms, 3D printing, and digital design tools
- Continuously evaluate and refine curriculum to improve instructional effectiveness
- Organize instructional resources digitally for students to access learning materials
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain lab equipment such as computers, tablets, 3D printers, robotics kits, and other STEM-related tools
- Ensure all technology, materials, and equipment are prepared, organized, and functional for each session
- Identifies needed supply materials for assigned courses and requests such supplies, in writing, to the Supervisor of Technology, i.e. 3D printer repair, filament, robotics parts, etc.
- Establishes a learning environment that promotes critical thinking and collaboration among students by implementing effective classroom procedures that enhance engagement while maintaining a structured and supportive atmosphere for learning
- Attend and actively participates in professional development as recommended by the Executive Director of Curriculum and the Supervisor of Technology to maintain/update technological advancements as it becomes available to assist with student learning
- Abide by the rules, regulations policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the building Campus Leader, the Supervisor of Technology, and the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction
