REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Kentucky Teaching Certificate
Three years experience in transportation services
Commercial Driver's License Class B, Endorsements P and S valid for interstate driving and a Kentucky School
Bus Driver Certificate
Kentucky State Certified Driver's Training Certificate
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff and community
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Director of Transportation and transportation department in providing safe and efficient
transportation for all students so that they may take full advantage of daily instructional and extracurricular
activities offered by the School District, with an emphasis on positive student conduct, support of school
leadership and community/parent relations.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES & EVALUATION CRITERIA
Serves as area manager for designated locations and transportation areas within the district
Assumes a proactive approach to promoting positive student conduct as part of a comprehensive approach to
safely transporting students
Oversees transportation of preschool students, including transportation services for the Early Learning Academy,
bus monitor staffing, and coordinating substitute drivers/monitors in collaboration with area managers
Functions as service manager for the transportation department
Serves on PBIS Tier 1 District Committee
Ensures all concerns and inquiries related to student bus conduct are addressed in a professional, consistent
manner with priority given to student safety and adherence to district policies
Effectively uses Geographic Information System (GIS) routing to plan, monitor, and adjust transportation routes
to ensure student safety and maximize efficiency
Complies with all local and state laws and regulations as they apply to student transportation
Assists the Director of Transportation in resolving all student-related problems connected with the
transportation and act as a liaison with parents and community
Assists in preparing all required state and federal reporting related to student transportation
Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned by the Director of Transportation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is performed by sitting, standing or walking. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping
and fine manipulations. The work at times may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, with the
ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Number of days worked will be determined by the current school calendar adopted by the Warren County Board
of Education. Salary shall be commensurate with adopted classified personnel salary schedule. Leave accrual will
be as stated in Board Policy.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of Warren County Board of Education
policy on evaluation of classified/certified personnel. Evaluations will be conducted by the Superintendent or
his/her designee.
