Reports to Assistant Director of Sports Tourism - Operations

Summary:

The Operation’s Coordinator serves as site manager for the Warren County Sports Park at Union Village (WCSP) and other facilities, to assist with the logistics and planning of sporting events.

The WCSP is a 128-acre, private, destination sports facility, designed and built for visiting athletes and their families. It is owned and operated by the Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB), a private, non-profit 501(c)6 corporation, whose mission is economic development through tourism. The sports marketing department generated more than 127,000 hotel room nights and over $164 million in estimated economic impact in 2024.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Act as main point of contact for nightly rentals and event operators during the duration of events, ensuring facility meets the needs of both the event and the WCCVB.

Organize all operational aspects of events, including all pre-event preparation, logistics and organization, during-event assistance, and post-event operations and wrap-up. Manage created events owned and operated by the WCCVB.

Help ensure buildings, training rooms, conference rooms, concessions areas (where applicable), restrooms and other areas meet the needs of the operator/renter/guest and support the mission of the facility.

Assist Facility Manager with all facility maintenance issues which arise. This includes but is not limited to field mowing, weed-eating, lining fields, cleaning bathrooms and more.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Four-year or two-year degree (sports marketing/management preferred) or equivalent experience

· Event management experience (sporting events preferred)

· Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications

· Strong communication skills: ability to work well with a variety of people in stressful situations

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Knowledge of amateur sports market and understanding of a variety of sports

$35,000 annual salary, plus benefits.
