What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler/Administrative Assistant position at Warren Nursing & Rehab?
Maintain nursing floor schedule and ensure adequate staffing is maintained daily.
- Keeping to a daily nursing PPD budget set by the administrator.
- Track overtime
- Agency use
- Vacation scheduling-policy for staff and managers
- On-call Monday through Friday
- Admission Agreement - Ensure the resident/guardian reviews, initials, and signs the admission agreement upon admission.
- Manage, track, and document all facility petty cash.
- In the event a resident gets cut from Managed care, we will present a bill to the resident.
- Assist with applying for Social Security Rep payee applications.
- Update all payor sources as they change.
- Arrange transportation to other facilities when necessary.
- Maintain and keep the sex offender log and notify the appropriate parties as needed.
- Report all discharges to the ombudsman's office and other relevant agencies as required by the Department of Health (DOH).
- Report social, Psychological, and emotional needs of the resident and family to the medical staff, attending physician, and other members of the resident care team.
- Provide residents with information regarding their rights, living wills, advance directives, and other relevant matters.
- Complete and deliver the necessary paperwork for residents who are being cut from Medicare A services. Maintain a file of these letters.
- Maintain Resident Demographics information within PCC; review at least quarterly.
- Orient the resident to the long-term care environment and facilitate adjustment upon placement.
