The Frac Shop Trainee is responsible for learning and working under/alongside the direct mentorship of an assigned Senior Service Technician.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies on/ around frac trailers / industrial equipment alongside senior technicians.
- Work with technician to test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
- Gain knowledge to apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
- Perform engine and component rebuild and repairs with limited supervision.
- Assist a Senior Technician in completing assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
- Assist a Senior Technician in completing related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with supervision from a Senior Shop Technician.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
- Willingness to accept instruction and guidance from a Senior Service Technician.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team-oriented mentality.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training.
- Successfully complete Work steps assessment.
- Ability to certify for operating a forklift and/or manlift.
- May be required to complete DOT physical.
- May require MSHA certification.
