ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as confidential Administrative Professional Assistant to the Athletic Coordinator
- Assists the Athletic Coordinator with scheduling and confirmation of all HS and MS athletic events and the scheduling of team pictures
- Prepares eligibility lists, rosters, types various correspondence and keeps accurate records for all sports programs
- Prepares and submits M.H.S.A.A forms as needed
- Prepares, mails and files contracts for game officials and confirms their attendance
- Prepares Purchase Orders and Supply Requisitions for Athletic Department
- Records and submits payroll for workers and officials at all athletic events
- Schedules officials for non-assigned sports (Swim, Track)
- Totals, records and deposits gate receipts and funds for internal accounts
- Schedules field maintenance for all athletic events
- Requisitions transportation for all athletic travel
- Responsible for running daily attendance and eligibility reports
- Schedules and prepares end of season sports banquets
- Orders and maintains records of awards given to student-athletes
- Assists at sporting events and fundraising activities as needed
- Attends athletic director meetings as necessary
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the athletic director
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree preferred (non-degreed candidates may receive consideration)
- Previous school employment experience preferred
- Computer proficient in PowerSchools, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerSchools, AS400, SchoolDude, Aesop and Safeschools or willing to be trained.
- Ability to accurately input and retrieve computer data
- Must possess a high degree of efficiency and accuracy Ability to work with general supervision and/or independently
- Must possess a high level of skill in communication, both written and verbal
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with office staff, administration, students, and parents
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and have the ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to write, correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, staff, parents and students.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
