The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the administrative functions of the HR Department. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all aspects of Warrenton Oil Company's workforce, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training and development, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and acting as a liaison between management and employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily workflow of the Human Resources Department.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new Human Resources employees; supervise and support HR staff.
- Handle discipline, investigations, and terminations of employees at all levels of the organization and in accordance with WOCO company policy.
- Provide guidance to managers on disciplinary process and serve as primary liaison between office and field for such matters.
- Provide support and guidance to HR, management, and other employees when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
This includes overseeing the talent acquisition process: recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles. The Human Resources Manager will also execute a variety of recruiting methods and effectively train and coach staff on an ongoing and as needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a high-performance team; attract, recruit, and retain required members on the HR team.
- Conduct timely annual performance reviews for all direct reports and ensure the same are conducted for all company employees.
- Oversee the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain effective payroll processing system and software to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Assist with sourcing and researching new systems and software as needed; assist with HR integration efforts for acquisitions and new builds to produce efficient workflows and cost-effective business processes.
The Human Resources Manager will also be responsible for managing turnover, providing timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the HR department, presenting data and information during company meetings and to executive leadership on a periodic basis, and reviewing, approving, and submitting invoices pertaining to the HR department to the next-level approver in a timely manner for processing and payment.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years human resources experience; three (3) years HR management experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite products, HRIS and LMS systems, and all human resources systems.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work and accomplish work with little or no supervision.
- Business acumen, financial management; performance management expertise.
