Job Overview
As a Land Tech within the Land team, you will take an essential role in organizing and preparing land information. This is a unique opportunity to expand industry knowledge by interactively working with other departments.
We're looking for a talented Land Tech with extensive experience in oil and gas. You will join us as an integral member of the Land team and provide support to the Land staff.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, process, and track AFEs, proposals, and elections
- Coordinate mass mailings, track certified mailings
- Provide analysis of leases and calculate working and net revenue interests
- Assist Landmen with research tasks, corrections to data, maintaining maps, answering landowners phone calls, notarizing documents, lease and contract preparation for approval
- Coordinate wire and check requests for lease bonus, vendor payments, well costs
- Prepare, maintain and process land related electronic and hard copy files
- Prepare form transmittals, check requests, oil and gas leases, assignments, and other contracts
- Coordinate the recordation, work flow and processing of executed documents with the Land Administration department, including submitting and tracking documents to various county courthouses for recordation
- Organize and maintain Oklahoma Corporation Commission hearings calendar
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on knowledge as a Land Tech
- Minimum of High School Diploma; Associate or Bachelor Degree, in Business or a related-field, is preferred
- Fundamental computer knowledge and experience, including Excel and Word, are strongly preferred
- Working understanding of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission processes and deadlines
- Thorough knowledge of oil & gas agreements, including but not limited to leases, joint operating agreements, surface use agreements, and assignments; Oklahoma experience is preferred
- Familiarity with oil and gas title issues and property ownership concepts which may include information contained in abstracts, title opinions, and title curative documents
- Skilled in using GIS software is a plus
- Strong organization skills
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
