Production Engineer
Role Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our team at Warwick Investment Group. The successful candidate will design, plan, and execute production operations on oil and gas wells, ensuring optimal well performance and production efficiency. In addition, you will work closely with drilling and reservoir teams to ensure the safe and efficient operations of oil and gas wells.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for the Operations Team.
- Monitor operations, cost control, and profitability in assigned areas.
- Analyze well production performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop plans for product recovery and treatment (e.g., artificial lift, production chemical programs, facilities, pipelines, utilities).
- Diagnose downhole and surface equipment problems, support root cause failure analysis processes, and recommend intervention or design changes as needed.
- Review lease operating expenses (LOE) and lease operating statements (LOS) for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify areas for cost reduction within LOE/LOS statements.
- Collaborate with other disciplines, including facilities engineering, SCADA, I&E, and measurement, to improve production facility operation and design and reduce costs.
- Plan and coordinate well flow-back activities with the field supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships and provide technical guidance and support to operations teams.
- Prepare AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) cost estimates and justification for workover operations.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering field.
- At least ten years of experience in production engineering, with a primary focus on the production side.
- Strong understanding of production optimization and well-intervention techniques.
- Knowledge of artificial lift systems, particularly gas lift, rod lift, and jet pumps.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in industry software such as WellEz, WellView, ARIES, or equivalent.
