Job Title : Carpet Cleaning Technician (with Flooring Maintenance Duties)
Job Description :
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Carpet Cleaning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for cleaning carpets and upholstery but will also assist with other flooring maintenance tasks, including tile, hardwood, and vinyl flooring, during times when carpet jobs are not scheduled. This is a dynamic role that requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to adapt to different flooring types and cleaning methods. This position requires fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and staff.
Key Responsibilities :
Carpet Cleaning :
- Operate carpet cleaning equipment (e.g., hot water extraction, steam cleaners) to remove stains, dirt, and debris from residential and commercial carpets.
- Apply appropriate cleaning agents and solutions based on carpet type and condition.
- Perform pre-treatment and stain removal as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Inspect carpets for damage and recommend solutions or repairs as necessary.
Flooring Maintenance :
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of other flooring types, including hardwood, tile, vinyl, and laminate, when not performing carpet cleaning tasks.Use specialized equipment and products to clean and maintain floors, ensuring they are restored to their best possible condition.Apply finishing treatments (e.g., floor polishing, sealing, grout cleaning) as needed.Perform floor inspections to identify potential issues such as wear and tear, moisture damage, or stains.Customer Service :
Provide excellent customer service by being punctual, courteous, and professional at all times.Answer customer questions regarding cleaning methods, product use, and general flooring care.Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored services.Equipment Maintenance :
Maintain and properly care for all cleaning equipment and tools.Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any issues to management.Job Documentation :Complete job tickets, service reports, and other necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.Take before and after photos of work completed when required.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in carpet cleaning or floor maintenance preferred.Familiarity with different flooring types (e.g., hardwood, tile, vinyl, carpet).Ability to operate various floor cleaning machines and tools safely and effectively.Basic knowledge of cleaning agents and chemicals and their safe use.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (bending, kneeling, standing for long periods).Work Conditions :
Full-time position with flexible hours.Travel required to various job sites.Occasional lifting and carrying of heavy equipment.Must be able to work in different environments (commercial) and handle a variety of flooring materials.Flexibility required, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed, based on client scheduling requirements.Benefits :
