Job Description: Tax and Accounting Advisor
1. Provide tax advisory services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations for High Net Worth/Closely held businesses.
2. Deliver high quality tax service and advice and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. Maintain active communication with clients and manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and meet stated deadlines.
3. Using our proprietary tools, provide innovative tax analysis, tax strategy development and implementation to optimize personal, estate and business tax efficiencies.
4. Perform ongoing analysis of financial position and tax projections for current tax year. Present financial and tax information and recommendations in quarterly meetings with clients.
5. Analyze client financial statements highlighting key business indicators and provide guidance for improvement.
6. Consult with clients to improve accounting processes where needed.
7. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities in a timely manner. Communicate with the IRS and other tax agencies regarding tax controversies.
Desired Skills and Experience:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax planning and preparation and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
2. Familiarity with various individual, estate and business tax forms.
3. Experience working closely with clients to ascertain personal income and estate tax needs and business tax strategies.
4. Experience researching, recommending, and implementing innovative tax savings strategies.
5. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to articulate complex information clearly. Experience preparing and presenting financial and tax analyses to clients.
6. Highly competent with Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat. Expert with advanced features of Microsoft Excel.
7. Proficient in tax compliance process software including Lacerte, or comparable programs.
8. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and ability to analyze financial statements and financial position and performance.
9. Experience in accounting processes and financial report preparation.
10. Degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field preferred.
11. CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience and competencies.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
