Wash Me Express - Manager in Training Career Path Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our team. As a Manager in Training, you will be responsible for learning the basics of the business and growing into the Assistant Manager role over the course of approximately nine months. This role will require extensive physical labor and working in all types of weather conditions and will involve working closely with the owner to learn the ins and outs of the car wash business. We have outlined the career path you can expect to take with us. Each step along the way will require you to be a quick learner and put in the effort to advance to the next position.
Manager in Training - $18/Hour Commissions
- Uphold a positive attitude at work with your team and your customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Present our Monthly Wash Plan to every customer, every time following our presentation model.
- Recommend the wash package that best fits each customer needs.
- Achieve personal sales targets set by the Company
- Quickly become knowledgeable about our wash products and packages, along with how each product is applied.
- Create “Wow” moments for our customers by showing your commitment to outstanding service and hospitality in every interaction.
- Safely and politely direct customers into the car wash tunnel.
- Help maintain the property’s appearance and cleanliness by assigned task lists.
- Efficiently prep and wash cars while maintaining our cleanliness standards.
- Open and close site, recording daily sales and preparing deposits
- Record damage claims as they occur
- Ability to lift 50lbs at a time
Shift Lead - $19/Hour Commissions (Must prove mastery of MT Responsibilities – ETA: 90 Days of Employment)
- Task out responsibilities to employees
- Administrative tasks, including printing task lists and wash logs
- Begin monitoring soap levels, replenishing soaps as needed
- Learn how to use Square to handle storage payments
- Train new hires
- Learn basic maintenance of car wash
- Follow up with customers regarding failed payments/late payments
- Submit damage claims to management for review
- Daily bank runs in absence of Management
- Daily bookkeeping
Assistant Manager - $20/Hour Bonuses (Must prove mastery of Shift Lead Responsibilities – ETA: 9 Months of Employment)
- Scheduling employees for shifts
- Employee evaluations
- Employee write ups
- Provide coaching to employees who are not achieving sales goals
- Achieve company sales targets set by the Company
- Ensure site is always staffed
- Review reports to understand business health and employee performance
- Learn Tier Level 1 Repairs and Maintenance
- Maintain Soap Inventory
- Review damage claims and call customers regarding Company decision
- Daily bank runs in absence of Site Manager
- Pit cleaning (involves operating a pit cleanout machine)
Skills:
- Personal drive and self-motivated
- Proven experience in customer service or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills preferred, but the ability to learn quickly is a must.
- Business development mindset with a focus on achieving targets.
- The ability to connect with people and your customers.
- Attention to detail and pride in your work.
- High energy and ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technical sales knowledge is a plus, but the ability to learn quickly is a requirement.
- Experience in people management is preferred but not required.
- Experience in business management is preferred but not required.
- Technical know-how in equipment maintenance is preferred but not required.
By discretion of the Company, you may be asked to assume additional responsibility outside the scope of your job title earlier than an official promotion due to business needs.
