What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science (MS) Long-Term Substitute position at Washington Central Unified Union School District?
Washington Central Unified Union School District is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic educator to join the U-32 Middle School as a long-term substitute working as part of a core team of 7th and 8th grade teachers. This position is during a teacher's leave of absence anticipated to begin in late May and continue through the end of the school year with the possibility of continuing into the fall.The middle school science position includes working as part of a team teaching middle school model. Candidates need strong collaborative skills in order to work closely with other educators in team settings. Candidates should have experience designing curriculum units using Understanding by Design formats.
Candidates must be able to work creatively and collaboratively to create an environment that invites respect for all persons, relate a sense of fairness, and practice commitment to inclusion and diversity. This position also includes responsibilities of Teacher Advisor for 10-12 students. Training in restorative practices is preferred.The 700 student, 7-12 school is located on a beautiful hilltop campus in Central Vermont. U-32.
