Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This role provides critical assistance in managing project budgets, schedules, documentation, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize all required project documentation, ensuring compliance and accessibility.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Support the development and management of project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate and participate in project meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and generating reports.
- Establish and maintain key project processes, including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change order reviews.
- Assist in project closeout activities, ensuring quality control measures and final documentation are completed.
- Collaborate with project managers, site operations teams, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project success and team objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in commercial construction (in lieu of a degree).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with Autodesk, Procore, and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction sequences, particularly in retrofit projects.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- Salary: $75,000-$85,000
