What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Office Coordinator position at Washington County Hospital and Clinics?
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for checking out patients as they leave the clinic and scheduling any necessary follow-ups as noted by the provider.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to be successful.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
- Schedule follow-up appointments for patients in person after an office visit and update the patient’s appointment to show that they have left the clinic.
- Provide superior customer service in person or over the phone, utilizing good judgement that meets and or exceeds the expectations of the patient/visitor.
- Check team tasks to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Scan any paper documents to patient’s chart in EMR.
- Help answer incoming phone calls during high call volumes and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate personnel or department.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience is required.
