SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Hospital CNO, the Imaging Department Manager ensures that Imaging services for the hospital and Clinics are developed, implemented and maintained according to Hospital and Clinic guidelines and standards.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to be successful.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
- Provide operational management to the Imaging Department
- Supervise technical and non-technical staff
- Implement department policies and procedures
- Develop annual operational and capital budgets within the budget parameters.
- Maintain professional working relationships with staff, contractors, and organizational partners
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Completion of a JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology training program or equivalent, required
- Current registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required
- Current Iowa Radiologic Technologist Permit to Practice, required
- BLS required, or obtain within 6 months of hire
