SUMMARY
To lead, oversee and perform a wide variety of responsible and complex activities to maintain cleanliness, functioning and appearance of county building facilities.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives general supervision from Facilities Manager.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
None.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain cleanliness of county buildings
- Clean restrooms: sanitize toilets; wash and disinfect basins and walls; replenish supplies
- Clean offices: dust furniture; vacuum floors; empty trash containers and dispose of trash.
- Clean building: wipe down doors and door handles; clean and disinfect mirrors, baseboards, water fountains, countertops and staircase rails.
- Transport trash to dumpster.
- Assist with carrying, lifting and moving items when required.
- Sweep and mop floors and staircases.
- Clean interior carpets.
- Maintain employee daily time record.
- Perform any work necessary to keep the courthouse and other county buildings operational to conduct day to day business operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned, in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General Maintenance preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities described above.
- Ability to successfully perform standard cleaning practices and procedures.
- Ability to properly use of cleaners and supplies.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Firm commitment to customer service.
- Strong knowledge of English language, spelling, grammar.
