We are looking for an energetic person, with a good attitude, who loves their job and is willing to jump in and get to know patients and be a part of a private internal medicine practice. Looking for support staff member who has worked in office/clinical setting or someone who can be quickly trained.
Duties:
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals in a outpatient clinical setting.
- Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Provide basic life support and emergency care as needed.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as swabs, point of care tests, EKGs and if needed administering injections, and collecting and handling specimens.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Assist with medical billing and coding processes.
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients.
Other Duties:
- Making appointment, patient communication, follow up on patients with phone/email.
- Appointment confirmation/insurance verification/eligibility, pre-authorizations, patient recalls.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic healthcare practices.
- Proficiency in performing medical administrative support tasks.
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs and interpret results.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
- Previous experience working in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
