Nationals Philanthropies is the official charitable arm of the Washington Nationals. Its mission is to help children, families, and communities thrive through sport-based youth development and access to healthy food. The
organization delivers on this commitment by spurring investment in community-based programs that address the disparity of opportunity for residents of the region.
Since 2007, the foundation has issued over $6.8 million in grants to local organizations. Through its signature program, the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, the organization operates year-round youth development and baseball instruction activities, as well as a holistic food access program - supporting the delivery of nearly 1 million meals into the Washington, DC region since 2018. Since 2013, the organization has invested $50 million for facility construction and annual programming through the Academy.
Key Responsibilities :
Management of Academy Facility as Best in Class Community Hub
- Oversees facility use, maintaining balance between programmatic calendar and external partners
- Supervises management of RecTimes, the Academy's facility scheduling software
- Manages the Academy operations staff schedules, establishing Manager on Duty cadence, and communicates accordingly to external parties
- Manages contracts with operational and maintenance vendors

Work requires sufficient physical strength, agility, endurance, dexterity and hand-eye-foot coordination to perform all essential duties. Work requires standing for long periods of time, walking, and kneeling, crawling, bending, climbing stairs and ladders. Work may expose employee to potential severe weather, potential chemical hazards; potential biological hazards; and potential physical hazards. Work requires the use of safety clothing and equipment, and compliance with safety rules and procedures, as needed. May be called after regular working hours to respond to emergency maintenance and repair needs.
Compensation :
The projected annual salary range for this position is $68,900- $75,000 per year. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant's : qualifications, skills, expertise, education / training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
