Position Summary
The position of a Washington Regional Medical Center Volunteer reports to the Volunteer Services Manager. This position is responsible for interacting with the organizations internal and external community members in a supportive and positive manner. This position is responsible for upholding the Mission, Vision and Values of Washington Regional while serving in a variety of functions and performing various tasks throughout the Medical Center.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Interact with internal and external community members in a positive and effective way.
- Assist with wayfinding throughout the Medical Center
- Assist with deliveries to patient rooms, as needed
- Provide a positive and engaging customer service focused experience through a variety of communication methods, including answering phone calls, emailing, or intersecting guests in-person
- Assist visitors in locating departments or patients, as needed
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED, preferred
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience & Skills: Effective communication skills; ability to work in a variety of settings with a variety of personalities
- Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting performing administrative tasks or creative activities.
