Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.
Work Schedule: schedule: 5:30am – 2:00pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Here Is Some Of What You Will Be Doing
- Drive and operate large vehicles rated 60,000 GCW or more
- Operate semi-tractor trailer equipment and buses rated over 30 passenger capacity on and off-campus
- Drive and operate a variety of vehicles to deliver materials, supplies, food, laundry, and equipment
- Transport patients and employees
- Operate a forklift or hand dolly to load, unload, and deliver materials, supplies, and groceries to multiple locations on the hospital grounds
- Lead other Truck Drivers
- Maintain records of equipment use, gasoline and oil consumption
- Clean the exterior and interior of vehicles
- Two years of experience operating a commercial class truck rated 60,000 or more
- Ability to operate heavy trucks in a safe and skillful manner
- Ability to operate buses rated over 30 passenger capacity on and off-campus
- Knowledge of rules of safe operation of equipment and state motor vehicle laws
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Professionals With The Following
- Two years of full-time experience operating any combination of vehicles with a Gross Combined Weight Rating of 26,001 or more pounds
- A Class-A Commercial Driver's License with P-1 Passenger endorsements
- A driving record free of any serious driving offenses
