DSHS Lakeland Village Dietitian
Lakeland Village is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our team of professionals who provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
At Lakeland Village, our direct care and support staff provide 24-hour nursing care, a full spectrum of clinical and therapeutic programs, and recreation/activities to empower our residents. You will impact our residents through performing professional -level Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) which includes nutritional assessments, nutrition counseling, development of therapeutic plans, and nutrition education. This is an opportunity to utilize multiple clinical skills through communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support the success of our residents.

Major Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to establish an appropriate nutrition diagnosis.
- Utilize MNT to formulate therapeutic diets and nutrition support plans to meet the needs of clinical pathologies, including but not limited to diabetes, obesity, renal dysfunction, cardiovascular needs, geriatrics, oncology, inborn errors of metabolism, metabolic support, eating disorders, nutrition support services, etc.
- Provide nutrition counseling, education, and classes as appropriate.
- Represent nutrition related interests and advocate for nutrition-based goals as a member of the interdisciplinary team .
- Participate in the quality assurance/performance improvement process, focusing on evaluation of foods served for compliance with policies and standards as related to food safety, therapeutic goals, and texture/consistency attributes.
- Promote wellness, maintenance of current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness through evidence-based practices.
- Independently maintain relevant electronic records.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or nutrition-related field or Master's Degree in Nutrition or nutrition-related field AND;
- Registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible for registration at the time of hire and pass the registration examination within one year of date of hire.
- Washington Dietitian Certification
- Cu rrent Certified Dietitian license through WA Department of Health
- Active Registered Dietitian Credential (CDR) with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Detailed chronological resume
- A cover letter
- Minimum of three professional references
