Responsibilities
- Create and maintain student invoices and other computerized invoices records
- Process requisitions and reconcile discrepancies in student payments
- Reconcile departmental accounts and prepare reports
- Provide direct financial support and counseling to students, offering solutions and alternatives for settling financial obligations
- Review and make decisions on economic hardship documents submitted by students
- Follow up with students on payment dues and adjust payment schedules as necessary
- Manage late fees and account locks for students with outstanding balances
- Implement changes to scholarships and fees as required
- Review and confirm referrals to ensure accurate payments
- Investigate and resolve fraud transactions in collaboration with students
- Prepare and record disbursements for Title IV students in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience in higher education will be a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under close supervision
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
