With our student body expanding rapidly, we seek a skilled Career Services Assistant Manager or Lead to join our team. The Assistant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Career Services Center (CSC). This role involves responding to complex questions regarding employment and skill development for international and domestic students, collaborating with other departments on CSC programs and resources, and building partnerships with employers to develop job opportunities.
The Career Services Assistant Manager will advise students on career preparation, organize workshops and webinars, and serve as a critical resource in helping students transition into the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive career planning services and activities to guide students in defining and developing realistic career goals and opportunities.
- Offer non-academic advising related to employment, internships, and career readiness.
- Build and nurture relationships with businesses, industries, and community partners for clinicals, internships, externships, job shadowing, and employment opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between employers and the university to promote WUST programs and student talent.
- Plan and implement quarterly workshops and webinars focusing on career preparation and professional development.
- Organize career fairs or similar events each term to connect students with potential employers.
- Maintain a CRM system to manage employer and student data efficiently.
- Keep up-to-date and accurate records of career services activities, student placements, and program schedules.
- Ensure compliance with SEVIS regulations or demonstrate the ability to effectively learn and apply SEVIS requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to enhance the effective delivery of CSC resources and programs.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Education, Business Administration, Communications, Sociology, Public Administration, etc.)
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Career Services, Advising, Program Management, Higher Education Administration, etc.
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Forms, Sheets, Calendar).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a related field.
- 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Creativity and innovation in program development.
- Familiarity with SEVIS and international student advising.
- Experience in career services, higher education, or a related field.
Salary : $58,000 - $68,000
