SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Benefits Engagement Partner is responsible for developing and overseeing strategies to educate employees on their benefit programs, including health insurance, leave management, wellness programs, and other benefits. This role involves promoting active participation in benefit plans to maximize understanding and engagement with the available benefits. The Benefits Engagement Partner will collaborate with vendors, analyze benefits data, and contribute to the overall planning of benefits offerings to attract and retain talent. Under general supervision , performs highly responsible, complex and diversified clerical, administrative, and technical support functions in Benefits. Incumbent performs related duties as required.
EXEMPLARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Benefits Communication and Education :
- Create clear and concise communication materials explaining benefit plans, including features, eligibility, enrollment processes, and important deadlines.
- Deliver presentations and conduct workshops to educate employees about their benefits options.
- Utilize various communication channels including intranet, email, newsletters, and in-person meetings to achieve communication and education goals.
- Review and maintain Benefits Department materials including forms, enrollment packets, and flyers to ensure all materials are user friendly.
- Oversee communication plans and outreach alongside vendors and community organizations.

Education / Experience : Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain that knowledge and skills would be :
Knowledge of : State and federal laws pertaining to self-insured health benefits; Modern office methods, practices and equipment; interviewing and data gathering techniques; Benefit administration technology, Microsoft Office programs, Business Plus, business letter and report writing; correct business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, composition and vocabulary; record-keeping and filing systems; basic accounting and budgeting practices; principles of law and contractual agreements, practices and procedures related to personnel or Benefits functions.
Skill at : Researching, learning and applying applicable laws, regulations and procedures; interpreting and communicating policies and procedures; using sound judgment in making decisions within scope of authority; acting independently in seeking information verbally or by correspondence in processing personnel documents; establishing and maintaining working relationships with those contacted in course of work; typing and operating a variety of office machines. This position can deal with high stress situations and must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
