SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources (HR) Project Manager drives transformational initiatives, process improvement efforts, and change within the HR department. This role is responsible for managing complex and simple projects that align with the district's strategic goals, ensuring efficient processes, stakeholder alignment, and successful implementation of change management strategies. The HR Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and deliver measurable outcomes that enhance HR operations and support the district's mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiatives :
- Lead HR transformation projects to modernize practices, improve operational efficiency, and enhance employee experiences.
- Lead assigned initiatives supporting various HR divisions to enhance employee offerings, complete audit and compliance work, and implement new technologies.
- Develop and execute project plans for initiatives such as HR technology implementations, policy updates, and organizational restructuring.
Process Review and Change Recommendations :
Conduct comprehensive reviews of HR processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.Provide actionable recommendations for change, leveraging data analysis and industry best practices.Design and implement process improvements, ensuring alignment with district policies and strategic goals.Change Management :
Develop and execute change management strategies to support successful project implementation and adoption.Engage employees and leaders in the change process through effective communication, training, and stakeholder involvement.Address resistance to change by identifying concerns and implementing strategies to mitigate risks.Stakeholder Management :
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the district, including administrators, department heads, and union representatives.Facilitate regular communication to ensure stakeholder alignment, understanding, and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support to leaders during transformational initiatives.Project Management :
Apply standard project management concepts, including defining scope, developing timelines, allocating resources, and tracking progress.Use project management tools and methodologies to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery.Identify risks, create mitigation plans, and resolve project challenges effectively.Track and report on project outcomes, metrics, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.Collaboration and Leadership :
Coordinate efforts with HR team members, IT, and other district departments to ensure seamless execution of projects.Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, motivation, and accountability.Act as a change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the HR department.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience : Any combination of education / experience that could likely provide the required knowledge in qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be :
Education : Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience : Three or more years of experience in project management, with expertise in ERP implementations or large-scale technology projects.
Licenses / Certificates : PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
