Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING :
JHE Production seeks a full-time Project Director, Business Development to analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of creative wayfinding and events on a per project basis. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as a point of contact for customers. Assign duties to the creative team in determining production and design / concept requirements that align with client objectives. Communicate with key stakeholders to determine project requirements and objectives. Confer with creative team, client stakeholders, and vendors to identify and resolve problems. Create professional and persuasive proposals and presentations for current and prospective clients. Develop, conceptualize, create, and present winning proposals. Monitor special projects that involve complex fabrication / production, branding elements, budgets, and ensure successful delivery. Apply internal tools / systems and methodologies and proactively enforce internal compliance standards. Identify project needs such as resources, staff, finances and technical requirements and price projects effectively by reviewing project objectives and schedules. Monitor costs incurred by project staff and vendors to identify budget issues. Coordinate and manage internal resources, provide guidance to department heads, and proactively identify, address, and resolve project-related challenges. Oversee CAD, 3D renderings, trussing and shop drawings for accurate and safe builds of complex event fabrications, adhering to OSHA safety regulations for weight distribution and load-bearing capacity. Identify, review, and select vendors or consultants to meet project needs. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in AV / Audio systems, Video / LED, signage, and diverse printing technologies, including digital / offset / large format printing, UV flatbeds, plotters, vinyl printers, laminators, CNC routers, laser cutting, and direct-to-screen solutions. Provide guidance to departments on selecting accurate print and signage substrates based on in-depth knowledge of the environmental applications of vinyl, PVC, fabric, mesh, acrylic, polycarbonate, corrugated plastic, foam boards, and aluminum. Negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources and materials. Report project status, such as budget, resources, technical issues, and customer satisfaction, to managers for improvement to ensure optimal project outcomes. 15% U.S. travel required for business development, site surveys, and project oversight. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED :
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. In the alternative, employer will accept 4 years of work experience as an event planner / in the sport and entertainment event planning industry. Must also have demonstrated experience with each of the following : (1) Conducting market research to identify emerging event technologies and new business opportunities; (2) Creating and presenting tenders and RFPs, including handling complex negotiations and delivering high-stakes proposal presentations; (3) Working with designers and operation teams to prepare 3D / technical drawings, scope of work / installation guidelines, and other relevant project documents in support of client events; (4) Conducting site surveys, assessing technical requirements, and pricing projects effectively. The candidate must possess the ability to assess technical requirements ensuring projects are delivered on budget and meet all safety and quality standards; and (5) Tracking project progress, analyzing performance metrics, and preparing comprehensive post-event and financial reports to identify areas for improvement ensuring profitability. 15% domestic travel required for business development, site surveys, and project oversight. Will accept experience gained concurrently. Full-time, position may telecommute from anywhere in U.S. HQ at Harrisburg, NC.
