Wasserman Live is seeking a creative, organized, and experienced Event Manager to join our team of event professionals in delivering best-in-class experiences for our clients. The Event Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing large live events with new and existing clients – primarily in the motorsports industry. The manager is also the lead point of contact on large events for Wasserman Live and will delegate roles and responsibilities to event staff.
The manager’s primary responsibilities include the creation of a run of the show, directing the show for live events, and managing all budgets associated with the event. This role also provides secondary assistance to other project managers and will integrate into a support role when needed.
This role requires up to 40%-60% travel and the ability to operate and lead a team in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.

Essential Duties
- Create detailed timelines for team members, vendors, and clients
- Create and implement budgets for each event
- Conduct venue and vendor research
- Create presentations and proposals for the layout of the event
- Conceptualize and manage artwork design and production
- Serve as a liaison between clients, vendors, and other internal departments and coordinate needs to ensure successful event execution
- Partner with appropriate departments to determine technical and logistical/operation needs for events based on client needs
- Supervise and direct cross-functional team of 3-50 event staff on-site
- Create and write scripts for onstage talent and in-stadium announcers
- Manage teleprompter for onstage talent
- Travel to and from event site
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 years in event production or event management
- Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others (clients, vendors, project managers, and internal employees)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Workday. Experience using ShoFlo preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to relay basic technical production needs with clients and internal technical team (operations, logistics, technical production)
- Experience supervising a production crew of 3-50 people consisting of internal team members, vendors, and contractors
- Experience negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and artists
- Ability to work on multiple events at one time and handle frequent interruptions while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to adapt to new people, demands, environments, and computer software
