Waste Connections is looking for an experienced Sales Representative! We are looking for an innovative, creative and proactive individual capable of creating change and driving results.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Construction / Disposal Sales Representative at Waste Connections will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the construction industry by selling temporary waste removal services. This role involves establishing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, managing a portfolio of customers, and driving revenue growth to meet or exceed monthly targets. The Construction Account Manager will actively engage with both potential and existing customers within their assigned region to present Waste Connections' services, follow up with key decision-makers, and close sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with current clients, ensuring high retention and loyalty. Identify and engage with leads, manage sales prospects, and secure temporary business contracts to achieve both individual and team sales targets. Deliver persuasive sales presentations to grow the customer base, and follow up regularly with decision-makers to close deals. Use Salesforce on a daily basis to track and document all sales activities, including calls, meetings, and proposals. Generate qualified sales leads for permanent waste removal services and forward them to the appropriate sales representative. Collaborate with the Sales Manager on a weekly basis to evaluate progress, discuss customer retention efforts, and assess key relationships within the client base. Work closely with the operations team to resolve customer service issues and ensure a seamless experience. Enhance the company's visibility by participating in industry trade shows, networking events, local business activities, and company-sponsored events. Perform other tasks as needed to support the company’s goals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous experience in the waste management or transportation industry.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
At least 2-4 years of proven sales experience. A valid driver’s license.
