What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at Waste Connections?
Avenal Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Laborer to join our team in Avenal, CA! This is a full time, long term position with a reputable company.
The schedule will be Monday-Friday 7am-4pm plus some Saturdays (overtime).
Starting pay will be $17-20 / hour, depending on experience. The pay range for this job category is $17-20.50 / hour.
Responsibilities Include :
- Picking litter
- Spotting / directing trucks
- Tracking weather patterns to be able to set up fencing and wind screens
- Traffic management - moving signs and cones
- Ensuring that all customers are wearing proper PPE
- Cleaning Equipment
- General site cleanup and landscaping
- Driving employees to their work stations on site
- Performing other assigned duties at the landfill as needed
