About the Job
">As a Waste Management Operator at GFL Environmental, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our community. Your primary responsibility will be to operate various vehicle types, including Front End, Roll Off, Residential, and other trucks, to collect solid waste and recyclables from customers in a safe and efficient manner.
">Your Key Responsibilities:

- Operate one or more vehicle types with both automatic and standard transmission, collecting solid waste, yard waste, and/or recyclables on assigned routes. ">
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports, daily truck reports, route sheets, and other documentation as requested by your supervisor. ">
- Communicate any vehicle mechanical issues to the mechanic and supervisor promptly. ">
- Maintain clean vehicles by cleaning the cab interior and exterior. ">
- Manage assigned helpers when applicable. ">
- Comply with all federal, state, local, and company rules on safety and vehicle operation. ">
Requirements:

- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is desired. ">
- A valid Commercial Driver's License is required. ">
- Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate is necessary. ">
- You must meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards. ">
- You should be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment. ">
