What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Manager position at Wastebuilt Environmental Solutions, LLC?
Wastequip is looking to hire a Parts Manager for our Bolingbrook, IL location. Our parts Division, stocks and sells parts for most waste handling equipment and fleets in use in the United States. We offer a full line of parts covering the entire range of needs for refuse fleet including OEM and aftermarket body, chassis, container and compactor parts, hydraulic hose and fittings, maintenance, repair and operating supplies. We focus on satisfying our customers’ needs through fast and efficient supply of parts.
Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 Commission.
Summary of essential job functions

- Drive a culture that supports and provides ongoing training for customer service teams to continuously improve product knowledge and overall customer experience
- Help develop and actively support our performance management program(s)
- Support cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration
- Manage/mentor the customer service team to provide an outstanding customer experience
- Ensure that “today’s business is done today” in terms of completing all customer transactions and avoiding missed pick tickets, missed deliveries and/or delivery shortages.
- Coordinate customer-service follow-up to ensure other departments, locations, and/or suppliers are fulfilling customer commitments
- Monitor/manage lost sales
- Support field Sales team by helping solve customer problems
- Support Product Management in new product introductions, promotions, etc.
- Work with other Parts Managers to ensure consistent, optimal processes, controls, metrics, and outcomes across the company (customer service, receive, put-away, pick, pack, ship, deliver, returns, inventory control, and manage team performance)
- Ensure we have enough labor available to receive, put away, pick, pack, and either deliver or ship products to our customers
- Ensure a clean, neat, and organized warehouse environment
- Be responsible for the overall safety of the facility or facilities you oversee to help minimize exposures and ensure safety compliance
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Cross-functional, dynamic leader with a strong bias toward delivering results and providing customers with the highest level of service possible including following up on any and all open issues and driving those to completion.
- Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment, and effective interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
Qualification:
- Experience in Body Parts, Suspensions, and Chassis in the heavy-duty parts industry.
- 5 years of experience in a similar field.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using ERP Systems and Microsoft Office programs (Excel).
- Have a DOT Certificate or able to pass and obtain DOT Medical Card.
