The Facilities Specialist reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for the prioritization and completion of housekeeping and minor maintenance responsibilities across all facilities.
The Facilities Specialist must complete responsibilities with optimum safety, efficiency, and effectiveness while being a good steward of company property and resources, maintaining a positive working relationship all team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions as well as possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all Watco team members and affiliates.
- Maintain privacy, uphold security measures and respect proprietary information.
- Deductive reasoning and logical thinking skills.
- Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls.
- Clean offices, restrooms, hallways, entryways, gathering areas, conference rooms and cubical areas.
- Replenishing stock in bathrooms, and supply closets, such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, etc.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and ordering new cleaning supplies as needed.
- Emptying trash, dusting, disinfect, sanitize, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polish floors of front entryway, monitor building safety and security by checking to make sure all doors are locked.
- Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
- Monitor building and notify facilities department with any questions of concerns.

WORK CONDITIONS
- Varied work conditions. Work will mostly take place both in an office setting, with minimal time spent in a warehouse/shop environment and outside.
- Noise level is typically moderate.
- Work is required regardless of weather conditions, and may be required to work various shifts, including overtime, holidays and weekends.
- Must practice safe work habits to prevent on the job accidents and injuries.
- Excellent working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agents.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, walk on uneven surfaces and climb stairs.
