Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing environment for young learners. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives through engaging educational activities. Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in a small diverse preschool and child care program that is culturally grounded in bilingual learning.
Duties
Responsibilities - Assist the Lead in the following.
- Implement lesson plans that align with the toddler curriculum
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Conduct activities that promote physical education, language and literacy education, and emotional / social skills development
- Communicate effectively with parents as needed, regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Manage classroom behavior and encourage positive interactions among students
- Ensure the well-being and care of toddlers in the classroom setting
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to support a positive learning environment
- Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety.
- Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their ages and perceptual skills.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
