*This is a part time position, 20 hours per week. Starting range is $18.03 to $20.29 per hour.
Reporting directly to the Pastor of Hispanic Ministries, this position supports the Hispanic Ministries department by designing, maintaining, and coordinating administrative and operations systems and processes that support the mission, vision, and goals of the Hispanic Ministries at Water of Life. Attends planning meetings, organizes special events and provides a wide-variety of administrative support for the pastor, leaders and volunteers. Assist with program and curriculum development and maintain program database. Monday – Friday work week. Some weekend/evening hours may be required.
Create materials for the ministry using a variety of methods, including Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel, Adobe Elements (videos) and Publisher. Develop and update Agua de Vida webpage and social media outlets (Facebook, Vimeo), pursuant to the Communications Department social media strategy. Work with the Communications Department to create videos and/ or other creative elements for Sunday morning production (original video ideas, promotional pieces, testimonials, bumper contest, etc.). Work with the Finance Department on accounting for department and events, as necessary including deposits, creation of check requests, ministry transfers, petty cash, etc. Provide administration and coordination for ADV services, ministries, classes and other meetings, including but not limited to sermon notes, media requirements, marketing material, order of service, duplication and creation of documents, meeting minute taking etc. Manages schedules, plans meetings and events including all logistical needs for weekly and monthly activities and special events including ordering supplies, food, decoration, scheduling volunteers, etc. Receive and return phone calls and e-mails for ADV and schedule necessary appointments for the pastor, maintain calendar, maintain filing systems, coordinate material ordering and production and maintain the department’s database.
Plan, create materials and coordinate for all department retreats, seminars, training events, special events, fundraising events, etc.; scheduling volunteers to facilitate various program activities. Attends program events, as directed, and assists with providing direction for volunteers at events and activities for the program, as needed. This may include evening, weekend and some offsite work. Engage with and encourage volunteers and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Provide English to Spanish translation. Explore, implement and administer Fellowship One for department communication, promotion and outreach. Work with Guest Services to assist with Kiosk check-in and training of Hispanic Ministry volunteers, as necessary. Maintain department equipment/inventory/supplies. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 3 years’ professional experience in an administrative role assisting in a fast-paced office environment
- Proficiency in English and Spanish languages (spoken and written)
- Strong oral, written and editorial skills
- Strong attention to detail; strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with scheduling and database management in an administrative or equivalent role
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of office technology tools including web-based, Facebook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and database use
- Friendly, flexible, able to multitask, enjoys working with all kinds of people
- Some weekend hours required, as directed
