*This position is part time, 20 hours per week. Starting between $20.20 and $22.72.
Reporting directly to the Pastor of Hispanic Ministries, this position is responsible for the assistance of development and growth of the Hispanic Ministries. This position is to provide support, tools and equipping to Hispanic Ministry volunteer leaders so spiritual and numerical growth occurs. Serves on the front line of the program and directly interfaces and supports Hispanic Ministry program participants. Weekend hours required.
This position supports the core values and goals of the church by assisting the Pastor of Hispanic Ministry in preserving a spiritual and emotional internal growth in this community of faith. Facilitate meetings and conversations with volunteers, encouraging them to function and work as one team by providing training, problem solving solutions and conflict resolution. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to brainstorming ideas and recruiting, training, equipping, scheduling, overseeing, empowering and retaining well-matched volunteers to meet the needs of the Hispanic Ministry.
As a Ministry Coordinator, coordinate a single ministry function or team of volunteers or interns. May have some assignment for making sure staff or a team of people completes assignments. Evaluate the health and success of the ministry and deliver feedback to supervisor. May be responsible to monitor and oversee a ministry budget. Collaborate with other ministry teams when appropriate.
Create material for program using a variety of methods. Plan, execute material, and coordinate for all department retreats, seminars, training events, special events, fundraising events, etc. Attends program events and oversees volunteers and leaders at events and activities for the program. This may include evening, weekend and some offsite work. Work with the Finance Department on accounting for department and events, as necessary including deposits, creation of check requests, ministry transfers, petty cash, etc.
Explore, implement and administer Fellowship One for department communication, promotion and outreach. Maintain department equipment/inventory/supplies. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 1 years’ experience coordinator ministry/volunteers, with the ability to recruit, lead, train and supervise volunteers
- Degree preferred
- Proficiency in English and Spanish languages (spoken and written)
- Ability to recruit, lead, train and supervise volunteers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience planning events
- Strong attention to detail; strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of office technology tools including web-based, Facebook, MS Office, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Adobe Elements (videos) and Publisher
- Friendly, flexible, able to multitask, enjoys working with all kinds of people
- Able to work flexible hours, be available on evenings and weekends as program requires
- Aspire to be a Christian role model in accordance with 1 Timothy, chapter 3
- Maintain a consistent relationship with God, demonstrate a strong and growing walk with Christ and live a Biblical lifestyle that honors Christ
