Essential Responsibilities:
- Contribute to timely and accurate analysis of month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts
- Work with departments to ensure pricing is supportive of EBIDTA goals
- Periodically meet and review financial reports with department managers
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations, such as bank accounts, investment holdings, etc.
- Review and approve supporting documentation, account coding, and proper approval of all payments and expenses.
- Review and approve journal entries prepared by other team members to ensure validity, accuracy, and relevancy.
- Create ad hoc financial and operational reports, that provide key organizational and departmental performance indicators.
- Maintain the preferred vendor list
- Maintain the contracts folder ensuring accurate records of all company contracts.
- Evaluate and monitor internal controls and recommend areas for improvement.
- Evaluate processes and procedures for opportunities to improve overall efficiency.
- Prepare schedules for the independent audit and assist with the resolution of outstanding questions or tasks.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, required. An advanced degree is a plus. CPA preferred
- Three to five (3-5) years of advanced level accounting experience, preferably within a not-for-profit organization, public accounting a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal/state/local reporting requirements.
- Proficient with Great Plains and Microsoft 365, particularly EXCEL.
- Strong knowledge and experience with financial systems applications, systems implementations, and integration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
This is a full-time, exempt role with minimal travel required.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
