Description
Waters Edge Resort & Spa is currently accepting applications for our Social Sales Manager position.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for generating and converting sales leads. You will be responsible for liaising and executing an event from first inquiry through the actual day of event including post-event servicing. You will remain as the main point of contact with the client and provide sound planning & discuss all arrangements according to the hotels policies. You will strive to achieve or exceed sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Field sales leads/calls/inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Prospect and generate sales lead to reach and exceed annual sales goals
- Schedule and conduct property tours
- Track, follow up and maintain accurate records for all events
- Prepare social contracts utilizing Maestro software
- Facilitate the booking of overnight rooms and monitor room blocks
- Plan and coordinate details of booked events
- Produce accurate and detailed Banquet Event Orders for each event
- Coordinate with outside vendors
- Conduct all sales related interactions with the highest level of professionalism
- Monitor, review and report on all sales efforts, activity, and results to the Director of Sales
- Assist with event operations and coordination as needed
- Attend weekly sales meetings and communicate clearly with sales team
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3-5 years of sales planning experience and knowledge of banquets operations
- Strong presentation skills to represent the venue professionally and successfully
- Team player with clear and concise communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
