Primary Duties & Responsibilities

As a Regulatory Analyst, You Will Be Responsible For
- Functioning as a liaison between state regulatory agencies and the company.
- Preparing, submitting, and tracking regulatory and compliance filings for SWD wells as required by the Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC), Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), and New Mexico Oil Conservation District (NMOCD).
- Performing water and skim allocation processing and reporting, including preparing and submitting skim oil condensate reports (RRC Form P-18).
- Managing and tracking external client communications for water allocation requests.
- Interacting with field operations & SCADA team on skim tank balances and P-18 processing.
- Analyzing skim tank volume data and skim oil sales for patterns and trends.
- Ensuring regulatory records are accurately maintained for internal archives with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Coordinating with internal departments and providing regulatory guidance.
- Assisting the Regulatory Manager with filings or requests from state agencies or internal departments.
- Attending continuing education classes offered by state agencies.
- Performing other related duties for the QHSER team as required to meet the organization's ongoing needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience is required.
- Must have 2-5 years of related experience within the oil & gas industry, preferably in the private equity sector. Candidates with similar experience within a corporate organization (preferably in E&P, midstream, or OFS) will also be considered.
- A combination of education and experience in several of the administrative areas and at the highest level of a corporation can be considered in lieu of.
- Experience with state and/or federal compliance processes required.
- A basic understanding of production accounting or safety is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with Adobe preferred.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency is required, specifically using and creating pivot tables and Look Up Functions (X-lookup & V-lookup).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to analyze information, situations, problems, policies, and procedures to formulate logical and practical decisions or solve problems; communication with management is a must.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed, team-based environment.
- High ethical standards and integrity with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of work.
- Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.
- This is a full-time position.
- Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
