Waterbury Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Food Service Director. The ideal candidate will have experience in a skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining standards of food production and service, sanitation, safety and security, in supervising the food service staff.
Qualifications:
- Training and experience in food service supervision
- Must be able to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing
- State certification in sanitization
- Familiarity with sate and federal guidelines regarding food handling and safety
- Must possess ServSafe certification
Job Duties:
- Maintains adequate inventory of all supplies in dietary department.
- Responsible for the ordering of supplies for the dietary department.
- Maintains the quality of performance in kitchen staff directly or indirectly.
- Supervises food production and service.
- Insures the development of work and time schedule in conjunction with supervisors.
- As required, provides the back-up necessary to ensure resident needs are met.
- Maintaining accuracy of food tickets to trays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
