Watercrest Palm Beach Gardens is looking for an Assisted Living Private Duty Companion to join their Resident Care team! As a key member of the team, you will ensure the day-to-day care of our residents is provided in a sensitive, professional, and effective manner, as well as collaborate with the dining and community program to ensure best quality of care for all residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Provide one-on-one support and companionshipAssist with taking care of the resident’s pet(s)Encouraging socialization and participation in community activitiesAssist residents to and from scheduled activitiesPerform daily housekeeping tasks as assigned using established procedures and standardsPerform laundry duties as assignedFood shoppingAssure that established infection control practices are maintainedReport all accidents and incidents as soon as possible to supervisor, no matter how minorMaintain the confidentiality of residents’ personal care informationHonor the residents’ personal and property rightsBe knowledgeable and prepared for emergency situations including disasters, fire and other emergenciesMust be in company uniform and resident ready at all timesPerforms other related essential duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources and outside contactsAble to make independent decisionsMust be able to communicate in a warm, friendly and caring mannerMust possess a passion to work with and around senior citizensKnowledge of customer service principles and practicesEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
High School Diploma or equivalentCertified Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aid preferred, but not requiredCPR certification / First Aid certification preferredEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Experience working with seniors preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
