Director of Social Services

Job Overview
Waterfall Health of Brown Deer is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Social Services to lead our team in providing exceptional support and resources for residents in our facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality social services, fostering positive relationships, and developing programs that meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills and a deep understanding of behavioral health, social work, and program management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the social services team, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with regulations.
• Develop, implement, and manage programs for vulnerable individuals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community partners, interdisciplinary team and medical professionals.
• Conduct assessments to identify client needs and coordinate appropriate services.
• Provide guidance and support to staff in their professional development and performance management.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in behavioral health and social work standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance service integration and client outcomes.
• Develop and uphold individualized care plans for residents.
• Develop and initiate a safe discharge plan for rehabilitation residents.
• Advocate for all residents residing in the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in supervising staff within a social services or behavioral health setting.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
