Job Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Residential Sales & marketing, the Director of Residential Sales will lead the USA Dealer Direct and Distribution sales team representing the NA market leader in premium residential HVAC and DHW systems. This includes strategic sales leadership in support of key company initiatives and sales team effectiveness in obtaining sales and profitability goals. The role requires excellent leadership, providing coaching and mentorship to a team of sales professionals. This position will ensure our customers experience world-class performance in sales, service, new product introductions and product technology. This includes maintaining positive relationships with our customer partners, appropriate industry associations and WaterFurnace associates. This is a significant leadership role serving a major initiative to continue market growth for WaterFurnace and the GEO thermal Segment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify market potential to increase sales and market share.
- Meet or exceed annual sales and profitability goals.
- Provide strategic leadership and coaching to improve the sales team effectiveness through continuous improvement and sales talent upgrades
- Increase customer mindshare through marketing, networking, education, and lead generation activities.
- Maintain a Dealer and Distributor base by driving performance, accountability and constant recruitment of new accounts as needed
- Provide leadership and coaching to customers to increase sales and lead generation activities.
- Develop a network of strategic trade allies and market influencers in support of market development activities.
- Create annual sales budgets and contribute to market and product strategies
Qualifications
- Strong presentation, communication and leadership skills
- BA/BS in technical or business-related field of study, or equivalent experience
- 10 years technical sales team leadership experience with proven sales growth track record.
- Demonstrated ability to engage at all levels of an organization(internal/external)
- Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to travel 75% of the time.
