What your day will look like:
Under supervision, you will perform a wide variety of clerical and secretarial duties to organize, coordinate, and schedule school office activities; assist the Administrator(s) of the school in routine administrative tasks; assist school personnel, parents, and students as needed, and handle other duties such as:
- Organizing, coordinating and scheduling a variety of office activities to assist the Administrator(s) with administrative tasks; prepare and accurately maintain a variety of reports, records, and files relating to students, staff, budgets, operations, and activities.
- Training and providing work direction to personnel and student workers as assigned; monitoring workflow and adjusting duties to complete assignments in a timely manner as assigned.
- Providing information concerning school policies, procedures, actions, activities, and schedules as appropriate; maintaining school calendar and serving as a coordinator of events.
- Collecting, compiling, organizing and recording a variety of data related to attendance, enrollment, personnel, payroll, equipment inventory, and student activities; preparing and maintaining related records, files and logs.
- Collecting and accounting for money collected in conjunction with school activities; securing money and processing according to established procedures.
- Completing purchasing, receiving, invoicing, payroll, or ECA processes and procedures as required.
- Administering first aid to ill and injured students; contacting the nurse, parents, or public safety agencies as appropriate.
- Registering, releasing, or transferring students; completing enrollment information.
- Operating a variety of business equipment including computers, calculators, copiers, typewriters, and other school office machines.
- Requisitioning, receiving, storing and distributing supplies and office materials; maintaining materials and equipment inventory as assigned.
- Providing clerical assistance to faculty and staff as needed.
- Greeting substitute teachers and support staff; providing directions, keys, and instructional materials.
- Performing other duties as assigned. Maintaining regular attendance.
