Job Title: Director of Activities – Edgewater

Job Description:
· Must possess knowledge of therapeutic recreation, and ability to lead activities
· Must be able to work cooperatively with others
· Good organizational and planning skills
· Moderate to complex problem-solving skills
· Able to maintain flexible and effective communication with a variety of people
· Intermittent pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping and moving residents
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Activity certification preferred
· Previous supervisory experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Interview new residents and complete initial assessment
· Maintains an accurate attendance of activities participated in by residents
· Maintains quarterly progress notes on each resident
· Completes an annual assessment of each resident
· Coordinates Resident Council Meetings and follows through on all grievances
· Plans, organizes, and implements the overall therapeutic recreation program
· Coordinates and implements all programs either personally or by delegation
· Supervises staff and volunteers conducting programs
· Operates activities program within the budget guidelines
· Participates in Campus Activity and Department meetings
· Prepares and submits requisitions monthly for supplies and transportation
· Maintains Care Plan audit
· Participates on care plan team and attends meetings as necessary
· Assists residents in voter registration and voting process to ensure fulfillment of their civil rights
· File attendance record of activities participated in residents chart upon discharge
· Plan a total recreation program based on individual needs and interest of residents
· Operates activities program within budget guidelines and assists in the preparation of the annual budget
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $21.15 per hour
