Position Overview: Watermark Ford Nissan of Madisonville is seeking a detail-oriented Used Vehicle Inspection Technician responsible for conducting thorough inspections and performing necessary maintenance on pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our high-quality standards for retail sale. Pay is $45,000 - $60,000, which is salary plus weekly bonus percentage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments on each vehicle by performing comprehensive multi-point inspections on all pre-owned vehicles entering our inventory through purchase or trade-in
- Execute routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections, fluid flushes, filter replacements, etc.
- Identify potential mechanical issues and report to the Service Manager
- Test drive vehicles to verify proper operation and identify any concerns
- Ensure all vehicles meet state safety and emissions requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- ASE certification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with various makes and models of vehicles
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to management
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proficiency with digital inspection software and basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds
- Capable of standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate various types of vehicles
